Recently The Rolling Stones announced that they will be coming through North America next year for a new tour. Celebrating the release of their 24th studio album, titled Hackney Diamonds, the band has deemed this run the “Stones Tour 2024 Hackney Diamonds.”

While it’s exciting to hear that the Stones will be heading out on the road again, there’s a particular detail regarding this tour that has caught some by surprise.

Specifically, the sponsor for this tour is AARP, formerly the American Association of Retired Persons.

As noted on the organization’s website, they will be offering a presale to AARP members starting on November 29th.

Several users over on X (formerly Twitter) have chimed in with thoughts on AARP sponsoring this tour, with some expressing that the partnership is delightfully on point for the Stones, who are now 61 years into their career. You can read some of those reactions below.

The Rolling Stone’s 2024 North American tour will kick off on April 28th in Houston Texas and conclude on July 17th in Santa Clara, California.

General on-sale tickets will go live on December 1st, but if you are a member of AARP, you will have access to the band’s presale on November 29th.
