Taylor Swift is perhaps the biggest pop star in the world at the moment, her Eras Tour having become the highest-grossing tour of all time. Between this, having recently reached billionaire status, and her dating life, it seems impossible nowadays to escape news of Swift.

She has also impressed the heavy metal community, with Disturbed singer David Draiman expressing he wants to collaborate with her, and Poisons’ Rikki Rockett saying she’s braver than “most rock bands these days.”

Along with those praising her, there are also artists who have taken the route of covering her music. An example of this is the London, England power metal band Dragonforce, who, alongside Arch Enemy‘s Alissa White-Gluz, performed one of the pop star’s songs during a recent live show.

At one point during the band’s performance in Montreal, Quebec (which took place on November 5th), Dragonforce invited the Arch Enemy vocalist to come out on stage with them.

Addressing the crowd with White-Gluz by his side, Dragonforce guitarist Herman Li shared that the band would be performing a cover of the Taylor Swift song “Wildest Dreams.”

As seen in fan-captured footage of their performance, Dragonforce kicks up the track’s sonic intensity by several notches, providing an exhilarating spin on the pop song. Alongside White-Gluz’s screams, Dragonforce vocalist Marc Hudson provides clean singing, each singer’s respective vocal work further fueling the riveting atmosphere of the cover.

Even if Taylor Swift’s music is not your cup of tea, this performance sounds pretty damn awesome, and you can check it out for yourself below. Also below you’ll find Dragonforce’s upcoming tour dates.
