The venue shared that the reason behind this cancellation is “100% Wes,” stating it was not an issue “beyond our control.”
Several hours ago, the Puddle Of Mudd frontman took to the band’s Facebook and shared his own version of events on the canceled shows. Per his words, the singer says that the upcoming concerts were booked “without [his] consent,” by his “former management team” and that he “never agreed” to them.
Below is the entirety of Scantlin’s statement:
“Statement from Wes Scantlin:
“I would like to take a moment to address recent developments regarding upcoming Puddle of Mudd shows. I believe it’s important to provide my perspective on this matter.
“I would like to clarify that the shows in question were set up without my consent by my former management team. I told my team at the time more than once that no shows should be booked without my authorization. I never agreed to these shows.
“In light of these circumstances, I have made the decision to take this time to regroup and make necessary changes. It is essential to ensure that the future of my music career is built on a foundation of trust, transparency, and genuine collaboration. I am deeply grateful for your understanding, continued support, and patience during this transitional period. Thank you, Wes”
At this point, there’s been no statement from Scantlin’s alleged “former management team” on why the shows were booked. Scantlin has had a troubled past to say the least, including earlier this year when he was arrested after allegedly trespassing on private property. It remains to be seen how accurate Scantlin’s perspective on events is.
