While some metal artists like to partake in sports and video games for fun, Aleksandr “Alex Terrible” Shikolai of the Russian deathcore band Slaughter to Prevail prefers a more extreme activity: bear wrestling.
In a new video uploaded to Instagram, Shikolai recently took to the woods and wrestled a massive bear.
The video starts with a bear in the distance making its way toward Shikolai and the Slaughter to Prevail vocalist gestures toward the bear to come to him. The bear stops right in front of the vocalist and raises itself upward. The bear and Shikolai then lock bodies and begin wrestling one another.
In the video’s caption, Shikolai writes: “Long time no see.”
Alongside this video, Shikolai shared several other photos of him chilling alongside the bear in a much more casual and relaxed manner. In the caption for this post, Shikolai writes (as translated by Instagram): “You and I are one blood.” You can find these photos below.
Funny enough, this is not the first time that the Slaughter to Prevail frontman has wrestled a bear.
Back in 2021, a couple of videos were uploaded online that featured the singer bear wrestling. This past match took place in the snow, and during his wrestling encounter with the bear, Shikolai’s face was covered in blood. You will find videos of Shikolai’s recent and past bear-wrestling matches below.
In other news related to the Slaughter to Prevail frontman, Shikolai recently went on a rant about masculinity after posting a video that received some backlash due to comments some found to be homophobic. You can learn about the entire story by following this link here.
