Man, it’s a scary thing when you can’t feel safe at a rock concert of all places.
Fans and Vince Neil all had a scare last night after a shooting occurred mid-way through Neil’s set at the Oklahoma State Fair.
Per a series of tweets, the Mötley Crüe frontman (who was playing solo last night), explained that he and his band were told to evacuate the stage and then hid in a dressing room after gunshots rang out:
“At a concert in Oklahoma City Crazy night last night. 3/4 of the way thru the set people started running. We we’re told to get in dressing room. There were shooters shooting people. Thank you fans for your understanding.”

A short while after, Vince took to social media again that he and his crew were safe: “Thankfully we are all okay! Thanks to everyone who came out. Please stay safe!” He then posted media clips explaining that the mid-concert shooting resulted in an attendee being shot in the chest following a fight:
“Police give details about the shooting at the Oklahoma State Fair. “One person was shot in the chest after a fight occurred in the Bennett Event Center at the fairgrounds, and one juvenile is in custody in relation to the shooting, said Oklahoma City police Lt. Jeff Cooper.
Fairgoers reported people running and quickly exiting the fair following the gunshots. One witness said people were stampeding and children were crying in the confusion. Cooper said the shooting was an isolated incident and not an active shooter.”
