Here is some good news for you Korn fans: Per band guitarist Brian “Head” Welch, the Bakersfield, California nu-metal band will be releasing some new music next year. Welch revealed the band’s intentions to drop new tunes in 2024 during a recent chat with The Joe Kingdom Perspective podcast.
Speaking about Korn’s plans to put out new material in 2024, Welch says (as transcribed by Blabbermouth): “Yeah, [there will be] new music coming out next year. I don’t know. We’re just kind of in hiding right now, just doing our own thing.”
Back in February 2022, prior to the release of their most recent studio album Requiem, band frontman Jonathan Davis revealed to Music Feeds that Korn was already working on “another record.”
With this in mind, although Welch did not specifically confirm what Korn will be releasing, there is a slight chance that the band could be dropping another album. Throughout the past, with some minor exceptions, the nu-metal act has released records roughly two to three years apart from one another – so perhaps 2024 could mark the release of a new Korn album.
That said, until there is further news from Korn, we will have to wait and see.
Are you excited for more music from Korn? What do you think of the band’s latest album, Requiem? Earlier this year, the band released a deluxe version of the album titled Requiem Mass, which features five live tracks from the album’s 2022 release show at the Hollywood United Methodist Church.
Over the course of their three-decade-long career, Korn has released 14 studio albums; last year, we took on the task of ranking each of those albums from worst to best.
