Netflix has finally released the trailer for their upcoming anime adaptation of Scott Pilgrim and it looks absolutely amazing.
Among those associated with this anime adaptation, Bryan Lee O’Malley (who created the graphic novels) serves as co-writer and showrunner, and Edgar Wright (who directed the 2010 film adaptation) is an executive producer.
The voice cast associated with this series is also stacked, for it features many of the actors who took part in the 2010 film.
The new trailer that Netflix has released shows off some of the incredible animation and action that fans can expect to see in the Scott Pilgrim anime.
While the original graphic novels and film both offer their own brand of exhilarating energy, this anime series looks like it is going to a constant rush of captivating animation and thrills.
You can check out the trailer for this upcoming series below; the Scott Pilgrim anime officially releases on Netflix on November 17th. If you have been a longtime fan of the franchise, how excited are you about this new anime? If you have yet to read the graphic novels or watch the film, we totally recommend you check both of those out.
Speaking of Scott Pilgrim, back in April, we gave a shoutout to Scott’s band Sex Bob-Omb as one of the “greatest fictional bands of all time.” Below is what we have to say about the band, and if you want to see who else made the list, follow this link here.
Sex Bob-Omb excerpt: “From the world of Scott Pilgrim comes Sex Bob-Omb, an indie band that incorporates elements of punk, garage rock, and noise rock. For folks who are fans of bands like The Coathangers, FIDLAR, or The Stokes, you will probably find yourself really into Sex Bob-Omb. Given how beloved Scott Pilgrim is, it would be very cool to see the actors come together and perform the band’s music live.”
