Megadeth and their mascot Vic Rattlehead are making their way into the world of video games, for the Los Angeles thrash metal band has just announced a collaboration with World of Tanks.

For those unfamiliar, World of Tanks is a warfare-themed multiplayer game where players can take part in various forms of virtual combat. The game is free to play, although, it does include options to purchase additional features.

In an announcement shared on the World of Tanks X/Twitter account, Wargaming (the studio behind the game), shares that Megadeth’s mascot Vic Rattlehead, and the members of the band, will be taking part in an event known as “Wargaming Metal Fest.” Per the tweet the studio shared:

“MEGADETH is coming to Metalfest! Get ready to rock the battlefield with Vic Rattlehead and the band members themselves starring in this epic event. Find out more. Join Wargaming Metal Fest here:

Wargamining Metal Fest kicks off on August 29th and will conclude on October 3rd. During that time, four exciting new products will be released: World of Tanks Blitz, World of Tanks Modern Armor, World of Warships, and World of Warships Legends.

As reported by Blabbermouth, Megadeth’s inclusion in this event will involve voiceovers by Dave Mustaine and the other members of Megadeth in the game, as well as Megadeth-branded-in-game items, missions, music, and more. Also, Vic Rattlehead will appear in the game as a character. Speaking about this collaboration, Mustaine says (as shared by Blabbermouth):

“This is the first time our images have been immortalized in video games! Moreover, our mascot has unleashed its own roaring voice, adding even more metal mayhem to the games. We’ve laid down over 350 mind-melting voice lines, and players will feel the thunder as we command during the battles. We have tanks, we have warships, and we are ready for Wargaming Metal Fest!”

This sounds like it’s going to be an awesome experience for those who are both fans of World of Tanks and Megadeth. Below you will find the announcement trailer for this collaboration.
