During his recent appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience, rapper Post Malone introduced Rogan to the Richmond, California thrash metal band Exodus.
Per a video clip of this Joe Rogan Experience episode that Gary Holt shared on Instagram, you will see Post and Rogan watching a video of Exodus performing live. At the very start of the clip, Post says “Like fuckin’ medieval war.” While both individuals are really enjoying the performance, Rogan in particular is in awe. Post shares with Rogan that this is Exodus who they are watching, saying “Exodus is amazing.”
When Rogan hears band frontman Steve “Zetro” Souza let out a roar, the podcaster starts laughing hard, commenting on the performance by saying “This is hysterical.”
As the clip continues, you will see that both Post and Rogan are really captivated by what they are watching.
This shoutout meant a great deal to Holt, who provided the following caption alongside the video clip: “@joerogan and @postmalone know what the fucks up…. Straight medieval yo 🤘🏻”
Below you can check out the clip that Gary Holt shared featuring Post Malone and Joe Rogan checking out Exodus.
This is not the first time that Post Malone has shoutout a metal band; in fact, he’s quite the metalhead. At a past concert of his, the rapper paid tribute to the late Riley Gale of Power Trip. Post has also been seen hanging out with King Diamond and Mike Portnoy.
It’s always super cool to see big pop stars give a shoutout to heavy metal. This reminds us of how, recently, Billie Eilish promoted a metalcore band to her 100+ million followers.
