As part of her set at a recent Guns N’ Roses concert that took place on August 5th, country-pop star Carrie Underwood performed the classic Motörhead song “Ace of Spades.” Underwood is one of several artists who have been invited to open for the heavy metal legends on their current tour.

Released in 1980, “Ace of Spades” is not only one of Motörhead’s most popular tracks, but it’s also one of the most iconic songs in all of heavy metal history.

Apparently, Underwood is quite the metal fan, having performed on stage with Guns N’ Roses’ Axl Rose in the past, as well as having performed a moving cover of a classic Ozzy Osbourne song.

This time though, the country star took a chance covering Motörhead, and folks… she hit the cover out of the park.

Through the bravado of her voice, Underwood provides the audience with an exciting and intense performance of the Motörhead track.

If you are curious to hear the country-pop star rock the heavy metal classic for yourself though, below you will find a couple of videos that feature Carrie Underwood’s performance of “Ace of Spades.”
