On October 6th, Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan invites the public to the opening of his brand new winemaking facility in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Working with the teams behind Caduceus Cellars and Merkin Vineyards – Keenan is the founder of both businesses – this new facility features the Merkin Vineyards Hilltop Winery & Trattoria, and Caduceus Cellars Hilltop Facility and VSC Ventura Room. This establishment stretches across seven acres of land and includes an array of luxury amenities. There’s a new winery and cellar, tasting room, restaurant, food production greenhouse, and gelateria.

This winemaking facility represents two decades of Keenan’s work, and regarding this new establishment, Keenan provides the following statement:

“In the many years I’ve been working towards this moment, one of the things I discovered when it comes to bridging the hurdle of exposing people to Arizona wine is context. So by putting a place like this in the middle of Cottonwood with five acres of vines, to winery facilities with a full greenhouse, and a full kitchen, all the context becomes visible, and you kind of break down the barriers of whatever preconceptions you have of Arizona wine.”

The Merkin Vineyards Hilltop Winery & Trattoria features a winery and barrel room, an on-site greenhouse and bottle shop, and will act as the new location for Merkin Vineyards’ restaurant, the Trattoria.

The Caduceus Cellars Hilltop Facility & VSC Ventura Room features a 9,500 square-foot, state-of-the-art production facility, a five-acre vineyard, and a new VSC private tasting room.

The facility will open on October 6th and is located at 770 Verde Heights Drive in Cottonwood, Arizona.
