When it comes to tone and style, there are a great number of creatively interesting heavy metal music videos. Through the decades, bands have created some truly fun and unique visual works; there are heavy metal videos that provide a profound sense of horror, and some that are delightfully hilarious.

When it comes to the latter, one of our all-time favorite metal music videos is Korn‘s “Twisted Transistor.” The song was released back in 2005 and is a single from the band’s album See You On The Other Side.

While the nu-metal act has released some rad music videos throughout their career, the creative direction they went with for “Twisted Transistor” is easily one of the coolest things they’ve ever done.

That’s because rather than prominently featuring the band, the “Twisted Transistor” music video features cameos from four super famous rappers, each who portrays a member of the nu-metal act.

Playing Korn singer Jonathan Davis is Lil Jon, David Banner plays former Korn drummer David Silveria, Xzibit plays former Korn bassist Fieldy, and Snoop Dogg plays Korn guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer.

The video is filmed like a mockumentary and features the rappers going about their lives as members of Korn, performing live shows, recording in the studio, and partying.

The two performances that stand out the most are Lil Jon (who channels some solid Jonathan Davis vibes in how he performs at the microphone), as well as Snoop Dogg. Snoop is an agent of chaos in “Twisted Transistor” and is bound to get you laughing your ass off.

Among all the heavy metal music videos we’ve seen, “Twisted Transistor” stands as one of our favorites; not only is it hilarious as hell, but including Lil Jon, Xzibit, Snoop, and Banner in the video is such a fantastic idea. If you have somehow never seen this video, or you would like to take a trip down nostalgia lane, you can check out Korn’s “Twisted Transistor” music video below.
