Next month, Otep will be releasing her first new album in five years, and along with including original tracks, it will also feature some really interesting covers.

On this new album, which is titled The God Slayer, the nu-metal artist will be covering music from Slipknot, Eminem, Billie Eilish, Lil Peep, Nirvana, and Olvia Rodrigo.

Let alone that it’s going to be pretty cool to hear Otep cover a Slipknot song – that song also happens to be one of the nu-metal act’s deep-cuts – it’s also awesome to see her working with music from such a unique variety of musical acts.

The official track list for Otep’s upcoming album The God Slayer is as follows:

The God Slayer track listing:

  1. My Violent Appetites
  2. Ostracized
  3. Good 4 U  (Olvia Rodrigo cover)
  4. Exit Wounds
  5. You Should See Me In A Crown (Billie Eilish cover)
  6. The Way I Am (Eminem cover)
  7. California Girls
  8. Pet
  9. Territorial Pissings (Nirvana cover)
  10. Star Shopping (Lil Peep cover)
  11. Purity (Slipknot cover)
  12. God Slayer

Among all the songs Slipknot has released, going with “Purity” is an awesome choice. Speaking of the track, this past June, we gave the song a shout-out in our “10 Slipknot Deep-Cuts That Deserve More Love” feature.

The God Slayer comes out on September 15th via Cleopatra. If you would like to pre-order the album, you can do so by following this link here. Also, below you can check out Otep’s cover of Billie Eilish’s “You Should See Me In A Crown.”
