Chevy Metal, renowned for their rock covers from the 70s, recently treated attendees to a hell of a show at Harley’s Valley Bowl in Simi Valley, CA.

Those expecting a regular evening of bowling were instead greeted by a surprise showing by some of the biggest names in rock, and a few especially close to the band

A notable member in Chevy Metal was the late Taylor Hawkins, the drummer/vocalist from Foo Fighters. The evening became a quasi-reunion when Dave Grohl, the Foo Fighters’ lead vocalist and guitarist, graced the stage. His appearance was just the tip of the iceberg, as the show also witnessed contributions from the likes of Chad Smith from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stephen Perkins from Jane’s Addiction, Gregg Bissonette, familiar for his associations with Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band, and Bastian Evans from The Alive.

Adding a touch of sentimentality to the night, Shane Hawkins, Taylor’s son, took his place behind the drum kit, reminding many of the legacy his father left behind. Shane, although young, is no stranger to the stage, having performed with Foo Fighters previously in memory of his father, and has also played alongside Chevy Metal at other venues.

The band’s setlist was nothing short of a classic rock fan’s dream. Kicking off with The Police’s “Next to You”, the performance journeyed through hits from Thin Lizzy, The Rolling Stones, Van Halen, and more. The night concluded with Chad Smith on drums, belting out AC/DC’s “Dirty Deeds.”

Footage from the evening is available for viewing, showcasing the talent, energy, and unbridled joy of the performance.

On a related note, Foo Fighters continue their musical journey, with upcoming dates announced for headlining shows and festival appearances. Fans can look up their schedule and procure tickets for a chance to witness their electrifying performances live.
