Among the band’s catalog of tracks, there’s one Slipknot song that frontman Corey Taylor not only finds to be “overrated,” but also says “is a pain in my fucking ass.” This particular song is a track that Taylor has sung dozens of times at this point, and while’s not too fond of it, he does acknowledge that the fans enjoy it.

It was during a recent fan Q&A, hosted by Revolver, where the vocalist was asked to name which Slipknot song he thinks is the most overrated. Replying to this question, Taylor brings up one of the band’s most beloved and classic tracks from their 1999 self-titled album.

Regarding which Slipknot song he thinks is the most overrated, Taylor says:

“I’m very much on the record saying that ‘Wait and Bleed’ is a pain in my fucking ass. I’ve been singing it for 26 years and it hasn’t gotten easier, folks! [Laughs]

“But I still sing it with Slipknot and with my solo project, which tells you how much of a psycho I am, because I know people love that song. So, you gotta do it — and listen, it’s a good problem to have.”

Taylor has previously expressed his lack of fondness for “Wait and Bleed” in the past, mentioning that, at one point, he vetoed the song from being played on half a tour because he was “fucking tired of playing it.”

But alongside mentioning which Slipknot song he thinks is the most overrated, the frontman also talks about the Slipknot song he thinks is the most underrated. Regarding this pick, Taylor says:

“To me, the most underrated Slipknot song is ‘Danger — Keep Away.’ I love both versions, the one that’s on the album [Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)] and the uncut version that eventually came out. There’s some beautiful parts to that song.”

When you attend a Slipknot concert, do you look forward to the band performing “Wait and Bleed”? Would you be excited to hear them play “Danger – Keep Away” more? And which of the band’s songs do you consider the most overrated/underrated?
