To show her thanks for all his work on the song “Bygones,” Dolly Parton wrote a heartfelt letter to Nikki Sixx, bassist for the Hollywood, California heavy metal band Mötley Crüe.

This new song is a track off of Parton’s upcoming rock album, titled Rockstar, and along with Sixx, it features John 5, as well as Rob Halford of the Birmingham heavy metal act Judas Priest.

“Bygones” has proven to be a hit, and to show her appreciation for all his work, Parton sent Sixx a very lovely letter. Sixx has shared a photo of this letter over on social media, and per the caption he provided alongside it, he wrote: “Gonna have to frame this one.”

Per her letter, here is what Dolly Parton wrote to Sixx:

“Hi Nikki, Well… I guess you’ve heard, we’ve got us a hit record! We’re #1 from what I hear on ‘Bygones’! You did a fantastic job on that. Thank you for joining us, you made it a lot of what it is. I appreciate you. Rock on!”

Dolly Parton is truly one of the most wholesome individuals on the planet, and this letter represents the sort of lovely and kind acts she’s known to do.

Below you can listen to this new Dolly Parton song; Rockstar will be released on November 17th, and below the song you will find the entire tracklist associated with the record.
