2023 has already been packed with a plethora of amazing heavy metal tours, and there are even more awesome tours on the way. We have Metallica hitting the road with Pantera, Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper joining forces, Guns N’ Roses, Ghost and Amon Amarth, and so much more.
Recently, the ticket company known as StubHub released some data regarding their “Top In-Demand Global Artists of Summer 2023” (this data was shared via Cision PR Newswire). This information provides a look into the musical acts and tours people have bought tickets for, ranking them according to total sales.
When it comes to the musical act in first place, it’s none other than Taylor Swift (who has 24 dates associated with her tour). Second place goes to Beyoncé (who has 42 dates associated with her tour), and then the list mentions several other pop and rock acts.
However, there is one metal band that did make the list. Among the other artists and tours most in demand this summer, this metal band made eighth place (with 19 dates associated with that tour). Is it Ghost? Nope – it’s Metallica.
Alongside Bruce Springsteen, Swift, The Weeknd, and others, Metallica is one of the most in-demand tours of summer 2023. The band even made StubHub’s list of “Top 10 Group Acts – by Number of Tickets Sold.” Regarding that list, Metallica came in third place, just behind Cold Play and Dead & Company.
