OTTTO and Bastardane, bands featuring children of Metallica members, are joining forces for a North American tour later this year.
Tye Trujillo, the son of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, plays bass in the thrash, funk, and metal band OTTTO; Castor Hetflied, the son of Metallica frontman James Hetfield, plays drums in the hard rock act Bastardane.
Speaking about this upcoming run together, which kicks off in August, OTTTO singer/guitar player Bryan Noah Ferretti shares the following: “We are very excited to be going back out on the road and taking Life Is A Game to new audiences.” Life Is A Game is the band’s debut LP, which came out this spring.
Castor Hetfield also provides the following statement in regard to this tour: “We love music and we love the boys in OTTTO. WARNING: Mayhem, insanity, and ascension may occur.”
While OTTTO released a new album this year, last year, Bastardane released their album Is This Rage?.
It’s pretty badass to see the sons of Metallica joining forces for a tour. Will you be making your way to any of these upcoming shows? Besides Trujillo and Hetfield, Lars Ulrich‘s kids also have a band – they’re called Taipei Houston.
