During a recent episode of his podcast Hawk vs Wolf, professional skateboarder Tony Hawk confirmed that Nine Inch Nails members Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are scoring the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.
This new TMNT movie – officially titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem – involves a screenplay partially written by Seth Rogen, and is directed by Jeff Rowe.
The other day, upon hearing Hawk share that Reznor and Ross are scoring the film, Rowe took to his Twitter and confirmed the musicians’ involvement. Writing about Reznor and Ross working on the TMNT movie, Rowe wrote:
“Well now that my teenage hero @tonyhawk has leaked that my music heroes are doing this I can add that the score is absolutely AMAZING. Exhilarating, terrifying, heartbreaking, full of sounds I didn’t know existed. I don’t have the vocabulary to describe it. I love it so much”
Alongside creating incredible industrial music, Reznor and Ross have created a plethora of amazing scores. Some of the movies they have worked on are Gone Girl, The Social Network, and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
Given their awesome work, we are really excited to hear Reznor and Ross’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem score.
And speaking of this new Turtles film – the movie looks like it is going to be a super awesome time.
