As one of the biggest music festivals in North America, it is always exciting when the Riot Fest lineup is announced.
The festival takes place annually in Chicago around the fall and features a large bill of acts from various genres. This year’s three-day event will take place in Douglas Park over the weekend of September 15th, 16th, and 17th.
As of today, the fest has revealed its lineup and which bands will be headlining each day, and we have to say… this year’s lineup is wildly stacked.
Although the day-to-day lineup is not confirmed, we do know who the headliners happen to be. For Friday, the Foo Fighters and Turnstile will be headlining; Saturday features The Postal Service, Death Cab For Cutie, and Queens of the Stone Age; and for Sunday, the headliners are The Cure and The Mars Volta.
Alongside these awesome headliners, there are also a lot of amazing metal, rock, and punk bands performing at the festival (and we mean A LOT). Here are some of the bands playing at the fest:
Mr. Bungle, Death Grips, Sleep Token, Pennywise, Pup, Silverstein, NOTHING,NOWHERE, L.S. Dunes, Gorilla Biscuits, Drain, Code Orange, Fleshwater, and Empire State Bastard.
And that is just a fraction of all the amazing heavy bands playing at this year’s Riot Fest.
Below you can find the official announcement from Riot Fest confirming every band that is taking part.
At the time of this writing, weekend passes for Riot Fest 2023 are available; at a later time, single-day passes will also be available, and an actual breakdown of who is performing on what day will also be provided.
What do you think of this lineup? Will you be attending Riot Fest 2023?
