Ride the Lightning is one of the most beloved Metallica albums of all time, but among the record’s track list, there is a song on there the band doesn’t like.
As shared by Revolver, TikTok user shotokanguitarist uploaded a video last month which involved him revisiting a specific track from Ride the Lightning. His goal in revisiting the song was to confirm whether it is better than he remembers it to be.
That specific Ride the Lightning song is “Escape,” and while shotokanguitarist thinks it’s a good song (although, not right for Ride the Lightning), Metallica straight up is not a fan of the track.
In the comments section of the video, Metallica replied to shotokanguitarist’s question about whether the song is better than he remembers it to be, and they said:
“No, it’s not.”
Damn, right to the point – Metallica does not care much for “Escape.” The song is a solid track, but hey, to each their own. You can check out shotokanguitarist’s full video below, as well as find a screenshot of Metallica’s response to his question.
What do you think of “Escape”? Are you a fan of the track? In other news related to the band, do you happen to know what massive metal band Metallica hated touring with? To find out, follow the link below.
