Yesterday, May 24th, the Foo Fighters performed their first headlining show since the passing of their drummer Taylor Hawkins. Hawkins passed away last year on March 25th at the age of 50; he had been with the Foo Fighters since 1997.

The band took to the stage at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford, NH with their new live drummer Josh Freese. This show also represents the band’s first headlining performance playing with Freese.

The Foo Fighters played a 21-song set featuring both classics and new tracks.

As noted by Blabbermouth, among the new songs they played, the band performed “Rescued,” “But Here We Are,” and “Nothing At All.”

It must be an odd mix of emotions for the Foo Fighters to be out and performing once again; for one, it must feel good playing live music and reconnecting with fans; but also, it must feel incredibly tough and sad for them to be playing without Hawkins. Hawkins was such an incredible talent and a wonderful human being; his legacy will live on in the lives he impacted and through his amazing art.

If you are interested in seeing footage from this recent show, you will find several fan-captured videos of the performance below.

Throughout this upcoming summer and into the fall, the Foo Fighters will be playing a lot; below these videos, you can find the band’s upcoming tour dates.
