The possibilities of what AI technology can do with music are fascinating and eerie as hell.

Take the AI remix shared yesterday involving the late Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington and Stone Sour‘s “Bother” for example – AI was used to reconstruct Bennington’s voice and have him sing the lyrics to the Stone Sour song.

If such a song like this exists, then what other AI remixes are possible? One could possibly create AI remixes involving popular artists of today, as well as those who have passed.

We bring this up because we have stumbled upon another surreal AI remix, this one involving the late Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain.

The YouTube channel “AI Remixes,” also responsible for the Bennington x Stone Sour remix, has uploaded an AI remix featuring Cobain’s voice singing Radiohead‘s “Creep.” Like the other remix, AI technology was used to reconstruct Cobain’s voice and have him sing the lyrics to the song.

“Creep” is already an emotionally intense song, but hearing the late Nirvana singer cover it is quite chilling.

You can check out this AI remix of “Kurt Cobain” covering the Radiohead song “Creep” below. What do you make of AI being used in this way? Are you okay with such technology being used to reconstruct the voices of great artists who have passed away?

Below the song, you will find upcoming tour dates for The Smile, which happens to be the side project of Radiohead members Jonny Greenwood and Thom Yorke.
