This past weekend the heavy metal festival Roadburn took place, and as part of a secret set, Chat Pile performed a cover of Rage Against the Machine‘s “Bulls on Parade.”
For those who don’t know, Chat Pile is an alternative-sludge act that has been taking the underground metal scene by storm.
The band formed in 2019 and has put out several releases, but it is the band’s debut LP (2022’s God’s Country) that has caught the attention of many in the metal landscape.
As one of the biggest heavy metal festivals in the world, Roadburn is one of the places you are bound to see jaw-dropping performances; and among the amazing sets that took place this year, Chat Pile’s secret set was a major highlight.
Per a video uploaded to TikTok by The Flenser (the label that released God’s Country), you can now watch Chat Pile cover Rage Against the Machine’s “Bulls on Parade.”
Per the caption associated with this video:

Below you can check out Chat Pile’s incredible performance. If you have yet to check out God’s Country, you can listen to it below. When it came time for us to write about our favorite albums of 2022, we absolutely had to include God’s Country. Here is what we said about it:
“A brilliant work of sludgy metal that explores the hells of capitalism, Chat Pile’s God’s Country is an extraordinary work of thematic exploration that provides much to mull over. Offering so much incredible technicality and lyrical depth, this release further highlights Chat Pile’s amazing artistry.”
