How amazing would it be to hear that Ozzy Osbourne was forming a supergroup filled with some of rock and metal’s greatest icons? Who do you think Osbourne would want to work with? Well, we now have an answer to such a question.

During a recent interview with Tenacious D members Jack Black and Kyle Gass (in collaboration with Metal Hammer), Osbourne was asked which musicians he would love to collaborate with (living or dead). When asked about this theoretical supergroup, Osbourne shares an impressive list of super-talented musicians. Per Osbourne:

“I’d love to do something with John Lennon or [Jimi] Hendrix. I’d love to do something with Randy Rhoads again. I’d love Paul McCartney to play on one of my albums. He’s a great bass player.”

Damn, imagining Ozzy Osbourne teaming up with even one of these artists sounds amazing – but a supergroup featuring them all? That would be incredible. However, Black notices an important omission and brings it up to Osbourne, saying:

“That’s a great band. There’s no drummers in that band, though. You’d need to get a drummer.”

So who is the ideal drummer that Osbourne would include in his theoretical supergroup? Well, interestingly enough, he says: “Tommy Clufetos is my drummer now and he’s a great drummer.”

Clufetos has been part of Osbourne’s band since 2010 and he is one hell of a talented drummer.

What do you think of this theoretical supergroup? If you had to make up your own group featuring Ozzy Osbourne, who would you include alongside the heavy metal legend?

In other news related to Osbourne, it was recently announced that he will be taking part in the Power Trip heavy metal festival later this year. Along with Osbourne, the metal festival will feature Metallica, Tool, Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, and Iron Maiden; Osbourne is scheduled to perform on Saturday alongside AC/DC.
