Sharon Osbourne recently opened up about how hard it’s been for Ozzy Osbourne to not be able to perform due to his health. She says that her husband “misses his fans terribly” and feels as if he has let his fans down, according to a recent interview with The Sun.
“Ozzy’s Achilles’ heel has always been his lungs, so to get something like COVID that affects your breathing and all of that, it was just torturous,” Sharon says. “It has been very difficult. Ozzy has been plagued medically by different things that have been wrong. It is like one thing leads to another then another.”
Seems like Sharon is over all of the testing and just wants her husband to be healthy and okay “For some reason he is tested all the time. I think ‘No more, please God.’ He has passed all the tests, he has survived – please leave him alone.”
While Ozzy’s Achilles’ heel is his lungs, his biggest love affair is his audience, Sharon says. “The biggest love affair of Ozzy’s life is his audience and performing. He misses the live audience, he misses his fans terribly. He feels he’s let them down.”
Sharon is definitely prioritizing getting Ozzy back on stage where he belongs “Performing is what he is born to do. Ozzy says to me that he can’t do anything as good as performing. I get heart-broken when I hear him say that and knowing he cannot go out and do what he is meant to do. But he will get there.”
The singer’s health has not only had a negative impact on him, but also his wife. She says that “this is the longest time Ozzy has ever been at home. He is driving me crazy, every fucking day.” Sharon goes on to say that the both agreed they’re spending too much time together.
Ozzy was forced to cancel his tour in February due to his health, but is set to headline the Power Trip festival in early October at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California alongside Guns N’ Roses, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Metallica and Tool.
