Although a new Aerosmith tour is going to be announced sometime in the near future, there is some speculation regarding whether this new run of theirs may be a farewell tour.

Aerosmith’s Joe Perry recently shared that the band will be hitting the road for a new tour, with an official announcement coming later. At the time of this writing, there is a timer counting down on the Aerosmith website which will hit zero come May 1st (this is when we may hear something from the band).

That said, per some promotional messages that have been going up at different venues, some are starting to wonder if this tour may be the band’s very last run.

Music journalist Mitch Lafon has shared a picture that features an electronic billboard showing off the Aerosmith logo and the text “Peace Out.” Alongside this photo, Lafon writes:

“Peace Out? Sounds like our May 1st announcement is a Farewell Tour”

Per a separate tweet, Lafon also added the following:

“Btw – most of the venues they are playing have posted a similar ‘peace out’ image… if you’re venue has… please share the image below”

He then provides a thread that features the same Aerosmith “Peace Out” message being displayed at different venues. Could this upcoming tour mark the end of Aerosmith? Could the band perhaps just be retiring from touring? Of course, this is all speculation and we will have to wait and hear from the band for an official word.

You can find the initial photo Lafon posted on Twitter below. Aerosmith formed in 1970, and at the time of this writing, the band has released 15 studio albums, their most recent being 2012’s Music from Another Dimension!. Below you will find links to other Aerosmith-related stories.
