While some bands hit points in their career where they fall apart, Bret Michaels has one thing to say about Poison: “We’re never breaking up.”

During a recent interview with People, the Poison singer talked about turning 60 years old and reflected on his life and career.

Among the topics discussed, Michaels talks about some of the health scares he has experienced, but how his drive to perform is still strong to this day.

Speaking of that drive, Michaels says that Poison does not intend to ever break up. Per his exact words, Michaels says:

“There’s a brotherhood there. We’re never breaking up.”

He then follows this up by sharing the following, speaking to his drive to play music:

“I wake up and still feel as passionate today as I was when I was standing in my water-soaked basement in Pennsylvania playing music. People ask, ‘What would you be doing if you weren’t doing music?’ No matter what, I’d still be doing this. I have purpose.”

Last year, Poison took to the road with Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Def Leppard, and Mötley Crüe for the Stadium Tour, which not only made an absurd amount of money but was also awarded the Best Rock Tour of 2022 by Pollstar.

What do you make of Bret Michaels saying that Poison will never break up? In other news related to Bret Michaels, the Poison singer will be going on tour later this year; this will be a Bret Michaels solo tour featuring support from Night Ranger, Jefferson Starship, Steve Augeri, and Mark McGrath.
