Throughout time vinyl has been mixed with various substances, and thanks to an Australian-based punk band, there is now a vinyl filled with piss. On Instagram, the punk band Private Function shared a video with their followers in regard to the “gold” version of their upcoming record, titled 370HSSV 0773H.
The “gold” version of the vinyl is filled with – you guessed it – piss. But this is not just any random pee, for it is actually the pee of each band member. Per the caption Private Function provided alongside the video, they share the following:
“SPLISH, SPLASH I WAS TAKIN’ A PISS
“Congratulations to the 50 people who ordered the ‘Gold’ version of our new record
“You just bought a liquid disc full of our piss
“We worked with local legends @saltydog.records to build the worlds first piss filled record, it turns out it’s really hard
“Because of the annoying amount of experimentation needed to make this record work we don’t have a physical copy yet but here’s a video outlining the creation of it
“Please don’t use our DNA to commit crimes
“PF STILL ON TOP”
This seems pretty fucking extreme – then again, it’s also a very punk move. And apparently, there are folks who really wanted to own a piss-filled vinyl. What will bands come up with next? As far as we’re aware, we don’t have any piss-filled vinyl in metal.
