After nearly two decades, The All-Star Sessions and Roadrunner United Concert still stand as some of the most epic achievements in heavy metal history.
Pulling together a plethora of musicians part of Roadrunner Records’ catalog, artists such as Slipknot singer Corey Taylor, Trivium singer Matt Heafy, Machine Head‘s Robb Flynn, and many, many more, came together and celebrated the history of the label.
This first started with The All-Star Sessions, with artists coming together to perform the work of other bands (like Fear Factory‘s Dino Cazares and the late Paul Gray performing a Stormtroopers of Death song).
Then eventually, the Roadrunner United Concert came about, taking the creative depths of The All-Star Sessions to the stage. It was a glorious evening that made for a powerful celebration of Roadrunner Records.
Now, many years later, Roadrunner is excited to announce that they will be re-releasing both The All-Star Sessions and Roadrunner United on CD and vinyl for all to enjoy. Now available to a new generation, it’s an awesome way to experience one of the raddest performances ever.
These releases will feature the amazing performances that took place, such as “The Dagger,” which was performed by:
Howard Jones (Light The Torch), Robb Flynn (Machine Head), Jeff Waters (Annihilator), Jordan Whelan, Adam Duce (Machine Head), Paul Gray (Slipknot), and Andols Herrick (Chimaira).
