To the joy of fans, much-beloved guitarist Nita Strauss has decided to rejoin Alice Cooper’s touring band and will be a part of the lineup for their upcoming 2023 concerts.
Cooper has announced that Strauss, who had taken a leave of absence last year for a run of shows in Demi Lovato’s touring band, will be back on stage with his band for this year’s tour dates.
Via press release, Alice Cooper told the world:
“She’s back! Nita asked for a leave of absence to work with someone else, something I always encourage my band members to do. I like them to challenge themselves and try new things. I’m thankful to my old friend Kane Roberts for stepping up and filling in for her, but she’ll be back with us for the new tour that starts up in late April. It’s going to be great to have her back.”
Joyfully, Strauss added:
“From the studio to the stage, it’s always an immense honor to make music with Alice Cooper!! I’m very excited to be rejoining the band on the road for the 2023 dates, and so I’ll see you on the road in April. Let the nightmare return!”
The shock rock king and his band are ready to blaze a trail behind the “Too Close for Comfort Tour” this coming spring. The shows will kick off April 29th in Youngstown, Ohio, and wind down on May 18th date in Biloxi, Mississippi.
It is going to be a busy year for Alice Cooper and his band. This coming summer, Cooper will be the opener during a brief run of gigs to be co-headlined by Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard, before heading out on his own co-headlining North American tour with Rob Zombie, with support from industrial metal gods Ministry and Filter.
