If you have ever seen The Callous Daoboys live, then you already know how awesome this band is.

Blending elements of nu-metal, mathcore, and electronics into their music, The Callous Daoboys offer live experiences brimming with exhilarating energy.

While there are a lot of cool aspects about this band, one thing that stands out is their interest in nu-metal. In the past, they covered the likes of Deftones in the middle of a bookstore, and more recently, they decided to throw a little bit of Slipknot into their performance.

As reported by The PRP, during a recent show of theirs, The Callous Daoboys ended up incorporating the Slipknot song “Psychosocial” into their set; but rather than play the song in its original fashion, they decided to give the track a makeover.

Instead of playing it as the moody and riveting metal track it is known for being, the band turns “Psychosocial” into a vibrant electronic house song. Hearing frontman Corey Taylor‘s vocals against such a playful production is quite jarring – but then again, The Callous Daoboys seem to love chaos.

If you are interested in hearing this electronic house version of Slipknot’s “Psychosocial,” you can do so via the video player below.

At the time of this writing, the band’s latest album is 2022’s Celebrity Therapist.

In other related news, The Callous Daoboys are currently on the road with D.R.U.G.S. (Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows), as well as 156/Silence and Varials.
