When it comes to helping those in need, Metallica is one of the most charitable bands around. Last week, it was reported that the band raised a record-breaking $3 million dollars for their All Within My Hands Foundation.

Now through that foundation, Metallica has donated funds in an effort to help out those impacted by the horrific earthquake that took place in southern Turkey and northern Syria.

As reported by CNN, this past Monday, a devastating earthquake took place in both countries. The death toll resulting from this earthquake is beyond 30,000, and rescue teams are doing their best to help those suffering.

On their social media, Metallica wrote about this tragedy and shared that two of their All Within My Hands Foundation partners are on the ground doing their best to help people in need. In an effort to help out those partners, Metallica has donated over $100,000 to them.

Here is exactly what Metallica had to say:

“We’re at a loss for words to describe the devastation in southern Turkey and northern Syria. The 7.8 magnitude earthquake has reduced the entire region to rubble.

“The death toll continues to rise, tragically exceeding 36,000 lives lost. Two of our @allwithinmyhandsfoundation’s partner organizations, @directrelief and @wckitchen, have boots on the ground providing medical aid and food to the victims of this disaster.

“#AWMH is providing $125k grants to each organization to support their relief efforts.”

It is very kind of Metallica to provide such assistance during this horrific tragedy. Our hearts go out to all those suffering right now, and to all of those incredible teams and individuals striving to help.
