Podcaster Joe Rogan recently expressed some anti-Semitic sentiments, and Disturbed singer David Draiman is not happy.
As reported by Variety, during a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan expressed the following:
“The idea that Jewish people aren’t into money is ridiculous. That’s like saying Italians aren’t into pizza. That’s fucking stupid.”
Rogan shared these sentiments during a conversation with Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti while the three of them were talking about Minnesota representative Ilhan Omar.
Omar was recently removed from the Foreign Affairs Committee due to facing accusations of anti-Semitism. In 2019, Omar posted a tweet speaking out against the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. In that tweet, Omar said America’s relationship with Israel was “all about the Benjamins.”
Omar has apologized for the tweet.
But when it comes to Rogan’s recent sentiments, many folks are upset by his perpetuating of anti-Semitic stereotyping. One of those individuals who is pissed with Rogan is Draiman, who feels it is important that Rogan understands that what he has expressed is deeply hurtful.
Draiman decided to take to his Twitter and offer to talk to Rogan about the latter’s sentiments. Per the Disturbed singer’s tweet:
“Et tu @joerogan? Listen, if you’d like to have an opportunity to talk to someone who can explain why perpetuating the stereotype that Jews love money more than any other race/creed/religion, leads to dangerous and disastrous consequences… …I’m around. Let’s talk.”
What do you make of Draiman’s proposal to talk with Joe Rogan? Would you be interested in hearing Draiman on The Joe Rogan Experience?
