Having formed in 2016, Sleep Token is an anonymous progressive metal collective based in London, England.

During their performances, the members of the band rock trippy costumes and masks, concealing their identities.

In 2016 they released their debut EP, titled One; come 2019 they released their first studio album, Sundowning. A follow-up EP titled Two came out in 2017, with the band’s latest album having been released in 2021 (that record is titled This Place Will Become Your Tomb).

When it comes to their style, Sleep Token’s music is a captivating blend of progressive metal, electronics, and art pop. Each composition that the band craft makes for a psychedelic and heavy experience.

As of recently, the band has released a brand new song! That song is called “Chokehold.”

Starting out with a soothing, moody atmosphere, the track eventually makes its way to an almost industrial-Esque space; with each strum and pounce of the band’s instrumental performance, booming drones exude forth, which further elevate the vibes of the song’s already intense atmosphere.

Are you familiar with the band’s music? Have you checked out any of their previous releases before?

If you have yet to check out the music of Sleep Token, you do not want to miss out!
