A Seattle-based supergroup by the name of Who Is She? used to be the house band for the Seattle Krakens… that is until they talked some smack about Amazon’s Jeff Bezos.

As reported by Stereogum, this past Wednesday, the band performed at the Climate Pledge Arena for a Krakens game; for their performance, Who Is She? decided to cover the Le Tigre song “My My Metrocard” (but with a twist).

That twist came in the form of new lyrics that shit on Bezos, such as:

“Oh no, Jeffrey Bezos/ He’s such, a total jerk/ Shut down, all the bookstores/ Billionaires do not work.”

Well, apparently Amazon, who has the naming rights at Climate Pledge Arena, heard about this performance and decided to remove Who Is She? as the hockey team’s house band.

Over on Twitter, Who Is She? posted the following about this matter:

In an unfortunate turn of events, apparently we are not welcome back at Jeff Bezos’ Climate Pledge Arena for tonight and tomorrow’s hockey games.

“Glad we got to play our take on this @letigreworld song, we had a blast. Sorry to anyone who was hoping to see us play. Go Kraken!”

You can find a video of Who Is She? performing their unique cover of Le Tigre’s “My My Metrocard” below. What do you make of this whole matter?

The latest release to come from the band is their 2017 album Seattle Gossip. You can listen to it below.
