Like Moths to Flames bassist and backing vocalist Aaron Evans has been kicked out of the band due to alleged claims of sexual abuse.

News of Evans’ firing comes directly from the band, who provided the following statement via social media:

“Effective immediately, Aaron will no longer be in Like Moths to Flames. Over the last few days, we’ve been made aware of numerous instances where he has abused the platform he was given within the band. Our DM’s are open if any fans/friends want to reach out to discuss.”

Per this statement, the band does not explicitly state what these instances of abuse involved, but as highlighted by MetalSucks, it appears that Evans has allegedly been hooking up with underage women and is also being accused of physical and emotional abuse.

Per one accuser’s statement, they share that:

“He’s [Evan] been having intimate relationships with several people, some of them [were] underage at the time. He was in his thirties.”

They go on to add: “He finds women on the internet and through traveling the country with his band. He uses his clout from the band in order to do this to women.”

You can find the rest of the accuser’s statement below, as well as that of the band’s statement.

If you or someone you care about is suffering abuse at the hands of their partner, please contact RAINN or call 800.656.HOPE (4673). Remember: you are not alone.
