It has been almost a year since Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters passed away.

Over the course of that time, many rock and metal artists have come together to pay tribute to the late Foo Fighters drummer. Among those tributes, two special concerts were held as a means to celebrate Hawkins’ life and legacy.

While the Foo Fighters took part in those tribute shows, they have not played live together otherwise – but that looks like it is about to change.

The band has just announced its first headlining show since Hawkins’ passing; the Foo Fighters will be headlining this year’s Boston Calling Festival. News of the band performing at this festival comes from their own social media.

At the very beginning of this month, the band shared a statement regarding their eventual return to performing live. Within that statement, the band expressed that they would be a “different band” moving forward.
