Jane’s Addiction is hitting the road this March for a new tour, but guitarist Dave Navarro will be sitting out of the run.
As reported by Blabbermouth, the band has provided a statement regarding Navarro not taking part in the tour, as well as who will be standing in for him as guitarist.
Per that statement, Jane’s Addiction shares the following:
“We’d like to address the questions surrounding Dave and the upcoming Jane’s shows.
“As a band we are in a great place, writing new music, and the bond is tighter than ever. We all hope Dave can be out playing with us; when he feels healthy and ready.
“For the near future, our brother Josh Klinghoffer will jump in for the upcoming shows on the West Coast, South America and some additional international shows to be announced soon.
“We want to thank you for being there with us over these thirty some odd odd years. You know, we’re going to keep throwing down for you.”
While it is unknown as to why Navarro is sitting out this tour, it is good to hear that everything is cool within the band at least. The last time the band went on tour – which would have been in 2022 – Navarro sat out on that run as well (due to his struggles with long COVID).
