In 2020, Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor released his first solo album, titled CMFT. With musical styles ranging from rock and roll to metal, CMFT makes for a hell of a riveting venture.

Now three years later since that release (and as reported by Blabbermouth), Taylor is back in the studio and recording his follow-up album.

Jay Ruston is working as producer on Taylor’s next album; Ruston has worked as a producer for Steel Panther, Anthrax, Stone Sour, Amon Amarth, and other acts.

Eliot Lorango, who happens to be Taylor’s bassist, recently shared some photos featuring him and the band in the studio working on the new album.

Per Lorango he writes in one post:

“Day 1 in the studio with @coreytaylor and the dudes. Sounding rad!”

Per another one of his posts, he writes:

“Final rehearsal prep with @coreytaylor before we start recording the new record. It’s gonna be awesome”
