Anthrax Bassist’s Plane Takes a Dip Into a Ditch

A plane that Anthrax's Frank Bello was on ended up finding its way into a ditch. Thankfully, Bello and the passengers are okay.

Anthrax has just kicked off a brand new tour, and while on his way to the band’s first show, bassist Frank Bello found himself in one hell of a tense travel situation.

In order to make it to the band’s show, Bello took a flight; however, that flight ended on a messy note.

Per a Fox 26 report, the flight that Bello was on (which was heading to Boise, Idaho) “crossed onto a gravel surface adjacent to the taxiway while taxiing toward the terminal,” and per Bello, the plane landed in a ditch.

Bello uploaded a video to his Instagram where he talks about the incident. Alongside the video, he shares the following caption:

“Ever have one of those flights to start a tour where on landing you feel a ‘thud’, then you hear the brakes screech a bit, and when you finally stop moving the plane is a bit tilted down to the right side in the front?

“Well after keeping us in the plane for 3 hours after landing- we found out we were in a ditch… anyway- Not the best way to start a tour, but I’m really looking forward to playing the first show in Idaho tonight!! Good times ahead!!”

Glad to hear that Bello and the rest of the passengers are okay. You can check out Bello’s video message below.

Anthrax kicked off a brand new tour with Black Label Society and Exodus just yesterday.
