If there was a silver lining to the lockdown hell of 2020, it was getting to see some legendary performances from the comfort of our couch.

Mr. Bungle’s ‘The Night They Came Home’ stream in October 2020 was one such highlight, bringing together a pretty unreal lineup for an excellent show.

Onstage was Anthrax’s Scott Ian and former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo, as well as full-time Mr. Bungle members Trevor Dunn, Trey Spruance and of course the one and only Mike Patton. The set featured the band crushing some Bungle originals like “Anarchy Up Your Anus” and “Glutton For Punishment,” while also delivering a nice smattering of covers.

The show opens with a “comedy” “performance” from provocateur Neil Hamburger, giving a very Bungle-themed set of jokes and throat-clearing.

Throughout the night there are also some pretty insane cameos by favorites, including Henry Rollins, Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme, Melvins’ Buzz Osbourne, Eric Andre and Brian Posehn.

Sadly, the performance is only going to be available on YouTube for a week before they take it down. So, we recommend you take it all in and jam out their set while you can. You can also grab a copy of the performance on vinyl here.

If you’re looking to experience Mike Patton in all his glory for yourself, Mr. Bungle announced a few upcoming gigs later this month as part of Knotfest Chile and Knotfest Brasil. They’re also scheduled to take the stage at the nu-tastic festival Sick New World next year in Las Vegas.

Kick back, enjoy the Bungle for yourselves below.
