As reported by Rolling Stone, Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler has been accused of sexually assaulting a minor. A woman by the name of Julia Holcomb claims to have had an illicit relationship with Steven back in the seventies when she was a minor.

Holcomb has filed a lawsuit against Steven, accusing him of sexual assault, sexual battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Per the suit, which Rolling Stone was able to obtain, Holcomb claims that Steven had convinced her mother to grant him guardianship over Julia when she was 16; due to this power of guardianship, Julia says this allowed her to live with Steven, and for the two to have a sexual relationship.

Julia has been vocal about her relationship with Steven in the past; per her suit, she alleges that she “was powerless to resist” the Aerosmith singer’s power and that he “coerced and persuaded Plaintiff into believing this was a ‘romantic love affair”.

However, Holcomb’s lawsuit does not explicitly name Steven Tyler – it states Defendant Doe 1 and Does 2 through 50.

Steven Tyler has also been vocal in the past about a past relationship of his involving an underage girl. Tyler spoke about this relationship in his memoir. Both instances are referenced by Holcomb.

Tyler says that he  “almost took a teen bride,” as well as “her parents fell in love with me, signed a paper over for me to have custody, so I wouldn’t get arrested if I took her out of state. I took her on tour with me.”

Also in the book, Tyler wrote, “She was sixteen, she knew how to nasty, and there wasn’t a hair on it.”

He went on to add, “With my bad self being twenty-six and she barely old enough to drive and sexy as hell, I just fell madly in love with her. She was a cute skinny little tomboy dressed up as Little Bo Peep. She was my heart’s desire, my partner in  crimes of passion.”

Julia has filed her lawsuit against Steven Tyler in time for a deadline associated with California’s Child Victims Act; that deadline is December 31, 2022.

California’s Child Victims Act is a piece of legislation that “opened a three-year window for California child sexual assault survivors of any age to file claims against their perpetrators and the institutions responsible, no matter when the abuse occurred.”

Upon request from Rolling Stone, a rep for Steven did not respond immediately.

We will keep you posted on updates regarding this story as they arrive.
