During a recent conversation with BraveWords, Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante is asked if there is any possibility of there being new Pantera music. Charlie is sitting in as drummer for the upcoming Pantera shows.
The point is brought up that Pantera’s final show is dated for August 2024 (in terms of confirmed tour dates). Given that that date is such a time away, Charlie is asked if there is a possibility of hearing a new Pantera song, EP, or even an album. This is what the drummer had to say in response:
“Oh man… who knows? Creatively, if we are just flowing and getting going, and things are starting to be really good, musically speaking, you never know what could happen. I’ve got tons of riffs. But we’re putting the cart before the horse. I like the positivity there, but I don’t know how people would react to that either at this point. I think first, let’s get out there and establish that we can play. I’m always open to the future.”
