If you are a Marvel and Black Sabbath fan, then you will really enjoy this gem. As shared by the folks over at Cheezburger, a video was uploaded to TikTok that shows off footage of a bootleg version of Avengers Endgame where the Black Sabbath song “Iron Man” is featured in a major scene in the movie. Spoilers for Avengers Endgame ahead.
Towards the end of the film, during a massive battle scene, the big bad Thanos gets ahold of the Infinity gauntlet; he is planning to “snap” away humanity, but upon snapping his fingers, nothing happens. He then realizes that Tony Stark (aka, Iron Man), actually has all the Infinity Stones, and they have melded into his suit. We then get this epic moment where Tony looks at Thanos, while preparing to do his own “snap,” and says to the big bad: “I am Iron Man.”
Now if you recall this scene, there is a mix of both orchestral score taking place, as well as atmospheric sound design. However, in this bootleg version of Avengers Endgame, the score and minimal atmospheric sound design are replaced with, wait for it… Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man”!
As you will see via the video footage below, just as Thanos discovers he does not have the Infinity Stones, the Black Sabbath song kicks in. The song continues to play out, building up as Tony goes about saying his “I am Iron Man” line. Honestly, the addition of this song makes the scene a whole lot more emotional and epic.
