While tickets to the public have yet to go on sale, Metallica has already announced special “Enhanced Experience” tickets for their upcoming 2023 and 2024 North American tour. At the time of this writing, we cannot confirm what the price of seated or pit tickets will be, but these “Enhanced Experience” tickets are fucking expensive.

Let’s right away address the $7000 ticket – well, technically $7272 ticket. (See what they did there… because the new album is called 72 Seasons, they made it extra adorable for fans who want to drop over seven grand). So for that much fucking money, what do you get? Well, the following:

  • One (1) exclusive viewing platform for a private group of up to eight (8) people with an unbeatable view for BOTH shows in the same city*
  • Platform beverage cooler stocked with complimentary beer and soft drinks**
  • Access to the official “Black Box” pre-show lounge, which includes three (3) complimentary beverages, as well as appetizers and bar snacks
  • One (1) limited edition Metallica merchandise item for each member of your group
  • Pre-order your concert merchandise and have it delivered to your platform***
  • On-site perks such as priority check-in, dedicated support staff, and a fast-track lane into the venue

Just to clarify, paying for this $7272 “Enhanced Experience” will get eight people into two nights. But still… REALLY??! Seven grand. And everyone gets one piece of merch. Honestly, we would expect a lifetime of free Metallica merch for that much money.

There are also several other “Enhanced Experience” options, ranging as low as $414 to as high as $4398 (not including the $7272 option). You can view all these options for yourself by following this link here.

So of course we have to ask our readers… do you think that the $7272 price tag is “fair” for what you are getting? Or does it just seem outlandish? Given the absurd difficulty that has been buying concert tickets, this price tag seems a bit much (to put it lightly).
