Welcome back to The Pit’s Favorite Riffs, where we share five new killer metal songs that have recently came out and that we love! Here is what we highlighted from last week!

As always, our goal with this feature is to shine a light on more underground metal bands. This week, we are bringing you a nice variety of death metal, black metal, and more.

200 Stab Wounds -“Masters of Morbidity”

In the few years that 200 Stab Wounds have been around, they have already proven themselves to be a powerhouse of savage-sounding death metal. Not only has the band released a new song today, but they have also been officially signed to Metal Blade Records!

Disillusion – “Am Abgrund”

We enjoy some good death metal that has a symphonic touch to it, and if that is also up your alley, you will enjoy the music of Disillusion. This band has a new album out, which is aggressive and thrilling from beginning to end. The song “Am Abgrund” makes for a great taste of how theatrical Disillusion can be.

Strychnos – “Traumer”

Gloomy as fuck and utterly brutal in their death metal delivery, the music of Strychnos is perfect for those looking for a more savage and ominous sound to kickstart their weekend. “Traumer” is a song that offers crushing blast beats and a relentless doom-y atmosphere.

JADE – “The Pacification Of Death”

But perhaps you are in need of even more doom this weekend – then check out “The Pacification Of Death” by JADE. Another doom-death act that knows how to weave catchy melodies through grim and tense-sounding instrumentation. You’ll get a solid balance of ethereal tones and aggressive riffs through the music of JADE.

Spider God – “The Fifty Second Murderer”

Spider God immediately grabbed our attention upon listening to the song “The Fifty Second Murderer.” The band has a new record out today and it is jam-packed with thrilling black metal. Offering compelling technical performances and poetic lyricism, Spider God provides a rich experience in each of their compositions.

Of course, this is but a small taste of the many awesome metal releases that are out today. What are some new metal songs/albums that you are listening to now or plan to check out over the course of this weekend?
