While metalheads may be a dedicated fanbase, Taylor Swift fans are also quite devoted when it comes to protecting their beloved pop star. If one were to insult Swift, you can be sure that her fanbase would rush to her defense and be ready to throw shit back at shit talkers – something which happened recently to Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx.
Over on Twitter recently, Sixx wrote the following tweet about Taylor Swift: “Is it just me or does Taylor Swift always seems likes she’s whining about something new every-time she’s gonna drop an album? #WorIsMeMarketing.” We are going to assume that the hashtag is really meant to read as “WoeIsMeMarketing.” What Sixx may be alluding to is the recent Ticketmaster controversy where many Taylor Swift fans were unable to get tickets to her upcoming tour.
Fans of Swifts did not take kindly to this insult, and in the replies to Sixx’s tweet, insults and jabs directed at Sixx poured in. One user wrote, “Wow!! As a fan of both you and Taylor I am disappointed in you. What a misogynistic, uninformed comment. And yea it’s just you!!!”
Another wrote, “It’s you. It’s definitely you. Been a Crue fan forever, but this….. is just so unnecessary..”
We have included Sixx’s initial tweet, as well as some of the replies to that tweet below. What do you make of Sixx’s comment about Taylor Swift?

I’m with Taylor on this. Ticketmaster screws the artists & fans way too often. Someone has to stand up for the fans. It was sad to hear about all her fans that waited hours, finally got their seats & suddenly are sent back to the queue. I’ve been there before & it’s frustrating.

You men think it’s “whining” when women stand up for themselves and their fans. I love you Nikki, but this is misogynic and upsetting.
