Sanguisugabogg is easily one of the gnarliest bands in the modern death metal scene. The Ohio death metal act took the scene by storm with their releases Pornographic Seizures and Tortured Whole, and now they have a new album on the way!
Coming out on February 3rd, Sanguisugabogg will be releasing Homicidal Ecstasy! And to celebrate the news of this upcoming album, the band has released a new song today. That song is titled “Pissed” (and it is fucking brutal).
Speaking to their new song “Pissed,” the band shares the following: “This song is a showcase of the struggle of finding euphoria and bliss out of something savagely disastrous and ultimately just wreaking havoc on anything in your path so it ceases to exist or ever haunt your mind again. It’s not self reflection, it’s not fantasy, and it’s not a game; it’s something savagely brutal presented in our own way so you can shove the hell out of the person next to you and have a good time while getting ‘Pissed’ with us!”
Speaking to the band’s upcoming new album, vocalist Devin Swank shares the following: “Everything became more legit. The musicianship, the production, the lyrics – which delve much more into horror and body horror – are more thought-out. It’s not just a bunch of dick and fart jokes.”
He then goes on to add, I”t goes deeper this time, into the psycho-sexual, body-horror, why what some people see as perverse or fetishistic, can also be perfectly normal. It’s kind of an homage to real life. When shit hits the fan, no one’s really safe.”
