You may not know this about us, but we are big Nicolas Cage fans over here at The Pit. We are particularly fond of the horror and more “darker”-leaning films he has been involved in, such as Mandy, Willy’s Wonderland, and Mom And Dad. So it goes without saying that we are super excited to see him in Renfield next year!

For those who may not know, Renfield is an upcoming horror-comedy movie that primarily focuses on Dracula’s henchman named Renfield. The movie is directed by Chris McKay and written by Ryan Ridley. Per the film’s Wikipedia page, the premise is as follows:

“Count Dracula’s lackey Renfield finds a new lease on life in modern day New Orleans when he falls in love with Rebecca Quincy, a feisty but perennially aggressive traffic cop.”

While actor Nicholas Hoult will be playing the titular Renfield, Nicolas Cage will be playing Dracula! Awkwafina will be playing Rebecca Quincy. As it stands now, Renfield will be released on April 14th, 2023. Nicolas Cage has never disappointed us when it comes to comedy (and drama of course), so we are really excited to see this horror-comedy Dracula story! You can find a photo of what Cage will look like as Dracula below.

In other movie-related news, last month, a first-look image was revealed involving a deadite who will appear in the upcoming Evil Dead movie. We are not sure of this deadite’s role in the movie, but they sure look creepy as hell! To check out that image for yourself, follow the link below.
